Management ProfilesJohn Petropoulos John Petropoulos, founder of Petrocasa Energy Inc. and 20+ year veteran in the oil and gas industry, most recently organized and headed up his successful Pangaea Land Services, the exclusive land and leasing agent for DDJET. DDJET is a unique Barnett Shale business venture originally made up of ExxonMobil and The Harding Company, and now owned by Chesapeake Energy Corporation. The DDJET project encompasses parts of Dallas, Denton, Johnson, Ellis, Tarrant, Navarro and Hill Counties in Texas. Jeffrey Crook Jeff Crook has been in the land industry since 2004 and has served as a Leasing/Acquisitions Manager for both Petrocasa Energy and Pangaea Land Services since 2006. He is a second generation oil and gas professional that has extensive experience in the Leasing, Seismic, and Right-Of-Way fields. As a Project Manager, he has been responsible for the acquisition and completion of over 17,000 agreements in all of the above mentioned areas, and in multiple shale plays across the United States. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen (AAPL) and a licensed Right-of-Way Agent. Prior to joining the land industry in 2004, Mr. Crook was a successful business owner in Southern Oklahoma, as well as working in the life/health insurance industry. Jeff went to the University of Central Oklahoma as well as Southwestern Oklahoma State University for 3 years before deciding to begin his business career.
Karen Reid, J.D., SR/WA, R/W-RAC Karen Reid has been working in the land services industry in various capacities for over 15 years. Prior to becoming the Title Project Manager for Petrocasa Energy and Pangaea Land Services LLC in 2006, she was a Project Manager/Relocation Specialist for PHAROS Corporation from 1999-2005. Karen is a Senior Member (SR/WA) of the International Right-of-Way Association (IRWA), a member of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen (AAPL), and is Relocation Assistance Certified (R/W-RAC). Karen earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Design from Brigham Young University in 1990, her Legal Assistant Associate of Technical Arts Degree from Edmonds Community College in 1996, and her Juris Doctorate Degree from Seattle University School of Law in 2003. Karen is licensed to practice law in the State of Washington. Scott Beckmen, Esq. Scott Beckmen has served as Title Project Manager and Attorney for Petrocasa since 2008. Scott has also served as Title Manager for Pangaea Land since October 2007 and began working for Petrocasa in January 2007 as a Title Analyst. In 2008, Scott managed a successful Due Diligence project on a possible Joint Venture for two major companies. Additionally, Scott co-managed 50+ contractors on two successful projects in the Haynesville Shale. In 2009, Scott has overseen the settlement and conclusion of several litigations in the East Texas region. Prior to joining Petrocasa and Pangaea, Scott served as a judicial intern in the Oklahoma State District Court handling Oil & Gas cases, and as a legal intern for British Telecom in London where he assisted in multi-national contract negotiations. Scott received his B.A. in Government from The University of Texas at Austin in May 2004, where he was a letterman on the Men’s Track & Field team. Scott received his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law in December 2006. Scott is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
Daniel Booth Daniel Booth has researched, and reviewed Title in various Counties for drilling and seismic operation purposes. Prepared title packages for potential gas units, and due diligence services. Software, Database, and Server implementation for streamlining the overall work product, and efficiency of the Company. Dan Cherkassky, Esq. Dan Cherkassky is a Title Manager for Petrocasa Energy. While working for both Pangaea Land Services and Petrocasa Energy he has served as a project manager overseeing title agents in researching mineral/royalty ownership from sovereignty to present, as well as being in charge of directly supervising the Roads Research Department. Dan is an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. He grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. Dan received an undergraduate degree from Austin College in 2001, and his Juris Doctorate from The University of Arkansas School of Law in 2004.
Attorney ProfilesGail Scott Petrocasa Energy L.L.P. Performed, supervised, and reviewed complex drill site title research, including property acreage analysis, and deedplotting. Researched property records in Title Plants and courthouses within Ellis and Tarrant Counties. Drafted stipulations. Reviewed and supervised well path title for subsequent attorney title opinions. Effectively communicated property issues with potential lessees and mineral interest holders. Stephany Cokes Researched title from Patent to present, collecting and presenting information in a defined and organized fashion. Reviewed title research conducted by other title agents, correcting any mistakes and filling any gaps. Currently, reviewing Title Opinions and curing title defects and drafting documents as suggested by attorneys in an effort to perfect title. John Hyde Researched surface and mineral land ownership backward and forward in the grantor and grantee indices at the Tarrant county courthouse and area title plants. Read and interpreted deeds, oil and gas leases, easements, right-of-ways, affidavits, court cases, deeds of trust, and agreements to determine legal rights to land. Began reviewing title for Petrocasa in 2009. Landman ProfilesJoe Barnes Joe Barnes has over 13 years experience as a Landman. He has worked multiple basins and shale plays, including the Permian Basin, Woodbine, Austin Chalk, and Barnett Shale. Joe is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen (AAPL). He graduated with a B.A. in Mass Communications in 1974 from Texas Tech University.
John Phillips John Phillips has been working as a Leasing Supervisor for Petrocasa Energy and Pangaea Land Services from 2007-Present. Since 2007, Phillips has been working mostly with Petrocasa Energy to develop urban leasing prospects in Tarrant County. Working in a highly competitive leasing environment, John has been able, with the help of an amazing group of landmen, to form up some of the first drillable units in the North Richland Hills, Keller, and Hurst area. Born and raised in Archer City, TX, John graduated from Texas Tech University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in English. John is an active member of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen (AAPL) and the Fort Worth Association of Petroleum Landmen (FWAPL). John is also licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance as a property and casualty insurance adjustor. He is currently pursuing his real estate license as well as his RL certification with the AAPL. |
